This Mayfair pool was designed to complement a modern outdoor space, combining durability, comfort, and elegance. With thoughtful features and a refined finish, it’s a unique retreat that offers year-round enjoyment and lasting value.

 

A family's dream of a tranquil, Queenstown-inspired retreat came to life with a custom pool built by Pita and the team at Mayfair Pools Manawatu.

Designed to suit their modern home and outdoor lifestyle, the pool features our Piha finish—a deep, natural tone inspired by the black sand and native bush of New Zealand’s iconic Piha Beach—but also perfectly reminiscent of mountain lakes and alpine landscapes. The result is a unique, one-of-a-kind pool that evokes a striking connection to nature.

From the initial design consultation to the final fill, the process moved smoothly and professionally. The clients valued being involved every step of the way, with insight into the craftsmanship behind each detail.

Now central to their daily life, the pool is enjoyed through all seasons—from summer swims to clear winter views. With ongoing support and regular servicing from Mayfair Pools Manawatu, this bespoke pool will remain a timeless feature of their home for years to come.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.
